The whooper swans are migrating from Iceland to this mere where they will stay until the Spring, just a few here but there were hundreds of them around the site.
It's quite an incredible sight (and sound) to witness the arrival of hundreds of swans and pink footed geese.
We saw a starling murmation right above us and an incredibly colourful sunset too, who could ask for more?
