Took this in the city centre on our way to last of the seasonal family get-togethers. Pouring with rain but I liked the lights, colours and reflections on the wet pavement. I'll miss this when the festive lights are switched off.
I'm planning to be more relaxed about 365 this year. I've really enjoyed taking and posting a daily photo but spend too much time editing so I want to learn more photographic and photoshop techniques this year.
I'm hoping to have more time out and about with the camera then post as I edit photos over a few days.
To start the year this was a record shot taken on the phone, just needed a quick edit and post. Didn't quite work out like that, after sorting photos, files, folders and much faffing about, I'm already a day late! From now on it should be easy peasy...
Look forward to being inspired by all the amazing photos on here this year too.
Congrats on taking a more relaxed approach to 365. It's the only way I can do it and enjoy it. I love the wet pavement and the colorful reflections of this image!
That is a lovely photo. And I envy you your wet pavement for reflections. Even though one may see them in Hollywood movies, we haven seen wet streets in close to eight months. I have a few nighttime shots that I have been waiting to take on a rainy night, but I'm still waiting. An article in the paper today said that Los Angeles has had twelve hundredths of an inch of rain since the new recording year started in October. That is an all time low. And we only average about ten inches a year in normal times. It had better start raining soon. This is the rainy season. Otherwise we'll have to wait until next year.
Whatever you've done to edit this photo is quite lovely. Exposure and colors look just lovely. Fav
