Some years ago my uncle told me that the shortest day, 21 December, doesn't have the earliest sunset of the year and he was right, it doesn't get any earlier than this! The next week of shorter days is because the sun rises later.
That makes me feel like we've turned the corner, the nights start to get lighter and we're on our way to summer!
I went to the river to take a photo of the setting sun which had already disappeared behind a cloud but there were still some nice colours in the sky.
Faffed about in photoshop for a while until it was well and truly time to stop :)
