Dear Fine Sirs of Playmobil,
As a young child, I cherished a small figure of a prince that was made by Playmobil. I have since passed said figure down to my children and was excited this holiday season to purchase the "Christmas in the Forest" advent calendar for them. They were as excited as I had hoped as each day passed and they discovered new treasures behind each door. They smiled at the trees, cooed at the sweet little birds, and proudly built their Christmas forest scene. Then day 19 happened. First I heard the slowly rising hum of their voices (did I mention there are 10 of them?), then I heard the rumble of footsteps as they charged down the stairs. They all gathered 'round their sister as she held out her hand and, in a concerned voice, said, "Mom? Look." She place their findings before me on the kitchen counter, a family of foxes. There was a mother fox, 2 babies, and.....it. We all moved our heads closer to get a better look, turning at every possible angle. My 13 year old broke the silence with, "I think they got hungry and ate it." While I found this statement rather amusing, I quickly realized the horror developing on my younger childrens' faces. I shot a raised eyebrow, combined with a wink, in my 13 year old's direction while I explained to the young ones that the Playmobil factory must have had a little malfunction and that I would send a letter off right away to see if help was available. I am now brought to this moment where I ask of you to please right this wrong and help to diminish the visions my children have of Christmas foxes dining on each other behind the magical secret doors of advent calendars. I am just thankful that the foxes weren't housed with the Santa figure behind door number 24. Can you imagine the trauma? I can assure you, the cost of therapy for ten children is much more expensive than the shipping costs for a new, non-cannibalistic, fox family. Thank you for your time.
