This is one of the roses that Finn handed to Taylor after her her perfeormance in The Secret Garden. The lady at the store told me that the ones she bought lasted 4 weeks. The ones I bought aren't going to make it quite that long but they sure were pretty at their peak.
Since the day she was born, I have called Taylor my "Rosebud" and I often sang the song, "The Rose" to her as I rocked her. I love all of the words to the song but the ones I want her to always remember are -
"...just remember, in the winter,
far beneath the bitter snows,
lies the seed that, with the sun's love,
in the spring, becomes the rose."
