The husband and I took a little road trip and spent the night away last night. We drove through our beautiful mountains, which were much more beautiful on the way up when I was not riding on the edge, looking down. It was a good trip but I am very glad to be at home, where riding on the edge isn't as scary.....most of the time.
beautiful use of selective colour, the sky is such a gorgeous blue :D @jackfrost you can do this in picnik or photoshop, some people use gimp (free to download). The simplest way to do it is to select the area that you want to stay in colour, then invert the selction and desaturate it. Or you can duplicate the shot so you have two layers and turn the top one black and white and then erase the area that you want to be in colour so that it shows through :D
@jackfrost@cazink - Thank you! I really liked it in full color but thought this was kind of neat, too. And I. Used the 2nd technique that Carly mentioned, in Photo Shop. Thanks for explaining it for me! :)
