My youngest colored puppets of Goldilocks and the Three Bears for school. Before I had a good look at them, she told me that she had put a tiara on Mama Bear's head. "Cute!", I thought... and then I saw them. I noticed she drew a vest on Mama, making Papa. "Clever!", I thought... and, sure enough, there was Mama's tiara on the other bear... then I started over analyzing why she chose the bigger bear as Mama. I came up with two theories... Mama's size is indicative of who really runs the show.... or, Mama needs to lay off the berry pies. Since a child's creativity can be a reflection of real life, it is obvious to me that the first theory is clearly the only tangible one. ;)
