I'm quite happy to see that our house finches have returned in the last few weeks. The males, like this one, add a splash of red to the crowd and it is quite pretty. I especially like seeing them against the snow covered spruces... they really look like little Christmas birds. :)
Lovely clear shot of this one. They are cheerful looking aren't they? Not as showy as those brilliant male cardinals but a pretty rosy red colour on their heads, and a nice change from all the little brown sparrows.
