If you've ever had the feeling that someone is watching, and you just couldn't shake it... look in the trees. The sun was just barely coming up, it was frosty, cold, and just staring to snow when we saw him swoop really low before he shot up into the branches. Other wise, we would have never seen him. He watched us for a while, lifting his head up and over the branches to get a better look. It had been a little while since seeing him so it was nice to know he's still around. Makes me wonder how often he has watched from his perch as I looked for him in all the wrong places. My kids are always freaked out by his yellow eyes. But, this time they oooo'd and ahhhh'd about how cute his eyes are. They were pretty impressive... Oh, and his name is Pablo, named after our fake garden owl, Pablo Guardian of the Strawberries. Our dog beheaded him and that was that.
@susanalena@gardencat@darylo - Thank you! :) I did try lightening it and it looked "ok" but not right. He was so hidden... there's no way I would have known he was there had I not seen him fly into the tree. I had to shoot through all kinds of branches. Seriously, best way to start my day.
