This is how I feel today. Even though the world is bright and beautiful around me, I'm a little sad. Today will be the 10th time I have watched one of my babies walk away from me, with their first giant steps into the world of Kindergarten. While I am excited for her to start on her new adventure, I miss all of the little people they used to be.
Ten times. I took the day off and so did her daddy. We are going out for lunch after we drop her off. I will probably cry, and he will probably eat all of my food. At least some things never change. ;)
Lovely shot. Your little one is growing fast and we all have to cope with this but it is amazing how other joys are bestowed on us during their lifetime of growing!
A lovely shot to show your feelings. But as this little bird they all have to spread their wings and fly and if we do our job as parents right they gladly return
@thresheg@mona65@photographycrazy@aecasey@susanalena@khawbecker@linlou17@elisasaeter@jo13@rosiekind@khirsch - Thank you for all of the kind words and compliments. She was more than ready to go and, for that, I was grateful. I've experienced one fly back into my arms, wailing, when it was time to follow his class into school. I did ok, only had to hide my face a few times. ;) While I am sad fot times gone by, I eagerly look forward to all that their bright futures have to bring. Watching them turn into adults has been an amazing experience and something I wouldn't change for the world. :)
This is an amazing capture to reflect your emotions. Very possible this bird has seen her last chick fly off? Gorgeous capture...great colors, markings, clariity, = FAV. These passages are always so bitter sweet!
