I've never seen so many in one spot, in my garden, before. Yesterday, they were everywhere. I believe they were Painted Ladies. Either that or American Ladies. I don't know enough to tell the difference.
Wonderful capture. I've seen a surprising number of monarchs in my garden this year. I wonder why, especially since I keep hearing that their numbers are declining. Not sure what it means, are they actually increasing in number or are they just hanging around longer because of the unusual spell of hot weather?
