Today, I woke up feeling anxious and sad. The news, you know? Later in the day, I drove up to Brattleboro, Vermont to do an errand for my son. I went into a bead store, an outdoor/camping store, and the food coop. Holiday music was playing. It felt almost normal. Crossing the street, I saw this composition and my breath caught - heartbroken and hoping for a better future.
A strong narrative to a very compelling image. It’s been a rare thing for me to like, let alone fav a US flag for some time now, but I must here. I hold onto hope our flag is worth flying again...
