We went for a walk at the Nisqually National Refuge today. Usually we go at high tide so we can watch the shore birds but today we decided not to even look at the tide-table. In the past I have captured part of the boardwalk reflected in the water - this is the first time I have been able to capture the shadow on the mud flat.

This is a really wonderful place to go and see wild birds. We usually take something to eat and drink, binoculars and camera.
