Since Borders Book Stores closed I have to drive 35 miles to the next nearest one. There used to be a department store called Gottschalks across the parking lot - the store closed and it seems that instead of utilizing the space for something else, they are tearing the HUGE building down. However they have just left it with big holes and put fence around it.
Love the processing which has added to the air of dereliction : many high st shops closing down in uk to our local town has more boarded up stores than operative ones !
@paul2782 - Sad thing about England, Paul, is all the big chain stores - Asda etc - just like over here. Such a shame - puts all the little shops out of business - they can't compete. @bristolrose - Thanks Kathryn! @sansjuan - Thanks Nita - the young lady in the book store thought they were going to put some fast food restaurants in there.
