Seattle from Lake Union by jankoos

Seattle from Lake Union

This was taken on the 18th while we were doing the wedding rehearsal.
Wedding was on an old 1920's era ferry that is moored in Lake Union. The Space Needle is towards the center and downtown Seattle left of center.

My UK guests left today - sad that everyone has now gone home - spent most of the day doing housework - and will spend tomorrow getting ready for a quilting retreat next weekend. It's going to be a while before I catch up!
Beautiful shot -love it there! You need to fit in relaxing time too...

You will feel a little down after all the activity! Hope we can cheer you up! This is a wide lake- didn't know Seattle had one!

I hope you get to enjoy some of this down time, even as you may miss everyone. This is an amazing shot to see the skyline in the distance and the wide expanse of water.

@mamamia - Thanks Joanne - the retreat will be R and R time. :-)

@maggiemae - Thanks Maggiemae - all the planning and excitement - sad the wedding is over - BUT - the memories are fantastic and now we have pics from the photographer. Yay.
Lake Union is pretty big - not nearly as large as Lake Washington (also Seattle) but is over 500 acres in surface area. I think Lake Washington is over 20,000 acres in surface area. They are fresh water - but there some salt gets in from the sound when they open the locks to let boats in and out.
