My favorite place to be. No hiking today - under the weather - so we went for a drive up to the mountain. This is Reflection Lake - no need to explain the name. :-)
This is the most difficult scenery for me with the dark trees/white mountain. I have ordered some filters and hope that will help. I stood in one spot and took dozens of shots with different settings - not thrilled with any of them. However, I love this view and could spend hours here.
@nanderson - thanks Nancy for the fav, too. Yesterday it was beautiful here and pea soup fog in Puyallup - so today, with it being foggy here, I decided Mt Rainier may be OK. Checked the webcam - and WHOOPPEEE! Clear and sunny - lots of snow!
Gorgeous shot! I have photos of Mt. St. Helens taken today, but nothing as stunning as this. And, I had that same issue with dark trees, etc. What kind of filters did you order?
