Inversion layer

Another filler.
Closing some gaps.
This was the first time I had seen the full fog 'inversion' racing up the mountain. My hubby and I watched the fog roll in and settle. The blue foreground is snow - the white is fog. We were at Paradise at a little over 5000 feet (not hiking this day - we went up to see the snow and take some pics).
Oh simply breathtakingly beautiful! This could so easily be taken from north Finland too, we have similar looking views there.

I really like this Jan, the blue snow, the white cloud and that hint of a rainbow in the sky. Especially good viewed large. Fav.

I like this a lot also. Beautifully composed with the snow in the foreground and mountain peaks popping out of the fog in the background. Fav'd.

@susale - thank you Suse!
@paulaw @attraversi - thanks Paula and Stephanie - I love Mt Rainier if you hadn't noticed - LOL.
@gozoinklings - Thanks Catherine. Paradise is the name of an area on Mt Rainier. Thanks for the tag idea, too! http://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/paradise.htm
