So not the best photo from a technical standpoint - BUT - I got starbursts. When I look back at past Christmas tree pics, I have blobs of light and no starbursts. Thanks to 365 and this wonderful community I am starting to figure out how to make my camera work. :-)
Very pretty tree Jan and congrats on the starbursts. I took a number with different settings and only one of them actually had starbursts so I reallyI should make a note for future reference!
@paulaw - Thanks Paula! I put the aperture on 16 or 18, changed my ISO to 1600 - and then played with shutter speed - experimenting using a stop per click. I need to get a remote clicker those because my tripod was on carpet and when I clicked, I think there was a hair of movement no matter how careful I was. I did also try self timer and this one was with self timer I believe. I took maybe 40 shots for a handful of OK ones.
Well done. Those settings should do it for you. Now find your cameras self timer. It works every bit as well as a remote. Just set it for 5 or so seconds to make sure the movement has settled.
