I am getting into the 'F' thing for February. :)
Iggy is a big talker - he was outside with me telling me all about his day while I took pics of flowers. He also was having a very bad hair day - as he often does. I can relate!
Iggy is a gorgeous cat--I love that dilute ginger colouring, the soft fluffy fur (which looks fine to me), and the stunning eyes, which appear to be a bluish aquamarine. The light and focus in your capture of him do him justice--fav for me!
@luvmynynix@tristansmum - thanks for the favs, Laurie and Stephanie - we rescued Iggy - he was deemed unadoptable and saved at the last moment by an alley cat group. My hubby and I think he was abused. When we got him a little over two years ago he was a biter and terrible swiper. Patience has paid off and now he will 'bat' on occasion if you ignore him, but without the claws out. He is a sweetie.
@jankoos Bless you for giving Iggy another chance and for being patient with him. He probably was abused, and I can't tell you what I would like to do to animal abusers. But a loving home and lots of patience can make such a difference. Years ago, at a cats-only veterinarian's near where I live, they adopted a "clinic kitty", Samantha, who had been abused. Although they were not my vet, I was in there sometimes, and Samantha would cringe away in fear if you tried to pet her. A year or so later, she was coming and asking for petting and cuddles, and would greet cat clients nicely also. Such a change wrought by love. I'm so glad that handsome Iggy has his forever home with you and your husband.
Jan I just wanted to ask you something, I saw you had been on a thread discussing privacy, and I wondered if you had been successful in loading filler shots that didn't appear in followers feeds, did it work?
@jo13 - Hi Jo - yes - it did. The shots appeared in the feed when I clicked on 'Home' but my followers couldn't see them. I had actually forgotten about them until a friend asked me recently if I was going to fill i n the blank spaces I had in July/Sept. They didn't look blank to me but when my friend showed me on her taptop, sure enough there was nothing there. I need to go in and change the privacy setting back to public. So all you do is select private when you upload.
@jankoos Thanks so much, I want to be able to have some pics that are on one account now 'show' on another but not have them be shown in the daily feed as people have already commented on them, I'll give it a go and hope it works, thanks again for your help.
@jo13 - you are welcome! Try uploading one to see and log in from a different computer or 'delete cookies' so your computer doesn't recognize your password - then log in as a non-member and look.
