May on Mt Rainier

Yesterday was a foul weather day at Paradise - the point on Mt Rainier from which our favorite summer hikes take place. I would be surprised if we are able to hike the skyline trail much before July.
This was at the 5,000 ft level.

We have lucked out and had very little snow this winter/spring - lots of rain though. :-)

@kathysview - Yes - there is snow at higher elevations all year - but my hubby and I are ready to get our hiking boots out and the snow is about 20ft deep on our favorite trails!
