I was playing around with some bee pics for my hubby for his bee album. I layed down in front of the hive to take this. The two hives he has currently are not doing so well, and he is going to replace one of the queens. They are so gentle, though - and didn't even get upset when Rhoda, my bullmastiff, went to sniff around (usually she isn't allowed near the hives).
@nanderson - Hi Nancy - thanks for the note! Happy 4th!
Have not been posting lately - so much going on this summer - health issues - plus our relay for life event is in two weeks - I am a co-chair. Not much phojo but I will be back. :-)
@nanderson - thx. Yes - I have been on our committee seven of the past ten years - we definitely relay. I am co-chair of survivorship this year so have been busy getting food/gift bags organized and donated, cheerleaders ready, usually opening ceremony but the founder of Relay for Life is our guest speaker this year so that piece was minimum. I will also be volunteering at Mt Rainier this summer a few hours a month so once the snow melts will be up there most Sundays.
@nanderson awesome! Can take pics while I volunteer - did a training class last weekend.
Up to Seattle tomorrow - hope to get some shots at the market after my event.
