Well - here we are - technically year three although I was not here for most of 2014 due to life throwing some curve balls.
I think I am ready to give it another shot. Special thanks to the followers who stayed with me.
In the little town where I live, a new trail for hikers, cyclists, horse riders and dog walkers has recently opened, connecting the town with Pack Forest, a forestry project owned by the University of Washington. The trail is two miles each way and crosses over two lovely wooden bridges. I will be posting quite a few pics from trail hikes this year.
This one isn't from the trail but I took it on the way. Mt Rainier has a fresh blanket of snow and the area is frozen at the moment. Cold but pretty. The valley is very shaded, hence the darkness on the right.
Gorgeous shot, Jan! So glad to see you're back to posting photos! I've missed your wonderful photos. Hope you're doing well! Here's to a good year ahead!
@nanderson@anazad511@cathieg@taffy - thanks so much for the kind comments and favs, friends. It's good to be back. Looking forward to seeing what you have all been up to.
This is so beautiful Jan! I love that view....you have captured it so well. What a great place to hike. Just gorgeous country we live in. Hope the New Year brings you happiness and good health...will be good to see more of you!
@joemuli - thanks Joey! @ziggy77 - thanks Jo. @maggiemae - yes Maggiemae - very cold off to the right - and very marshy, too - and yes - the mountain lights everything up. @tonygig - thanks for the lovely comment and fav, Tony.
I love that view less seen of THE MOUNTAIN. I like how you can clearly see Rainier's three summits, and where the mountainside slid away at some point in the distant past. FAV.
@ziggy77 - thanks Jo.
