This kiosk sits at the trailhead of the Viewridge Trail in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was an Eagle Scout project by one of the boys in my son's Boy Scout Troop (although many years before he was a scout). This is a great trail hike leading down to a bridge across the creek (there is a picture of the bridge somewhere in my last year's album) and I'm about ready to do this hike again -- it's been a while

After a three year hiatus (and three previous years on project without a miss) I am...
I wish we were hikers. There are so many trails within short distances of us that would be fun to hike. My husband was an enthusiastic backpacker in his youth, Scouting days, and young adult. We're past that age... by a long shot now.
