Labor Day weekend trying to escape the oppressive heat and humidity in the valley so we hightailed it to Topanga Beach where it was not much better but at least walking in the water and sitting on the beach as the breeze picked up offered some relief. Lots of families, surfers, picnicers, etc. and a beautiful day to walk along the shore and just relax. I noticed more than once these crustacean shells along the beach and couldn't decide if they were remains of seasonal molting, leftovers from a BBQ or what but they certainly were picturesque and reminded me of the classic by the B-52s.
