Had lunch with my wife and son at the iconic Smokehouse Restaurant in Burbank -- a real old Hollywood steakhouse founded in the 1950s replete with heavy wood moldings, red vinyl upholstery, thick steaks and dry martinis, and known for its delicious BBQ ribs and cheesy garlic bread, where Bogey, Sinatra, Crosby, and Garland wined and dined in the day. More recently it's better known for the scene in "La La Land" marking Mia and Sebastian's first encounter -- as well as the bittersweet epilogue (current day shot above over a screen shot from the movie).
