You know I want to say not until Thanksgiving but that is so American of me. Lovely shot. I want to try some of this and hope I can do better than I have before. Any hints?
@kt8ird thank you very much. For me christmas lights are good to iluminate dark streets / alleys ;) @joansmor I suppose that christmas lights or forniture are linked with thanksgiving day in some manner. Here, under catholic tradition, people starts with christmas ornaments after december, 8th.
For this kind of picture you need a tripod or firm surface, maybe your 70-300, stay behind a straight street with car lights and city or christmas lights. Then set your camera in manual focussing, moving focus ring to get an out of focuss frame and take shots playing with expossure and focus ring to get bigger or thiner circles of light. @ukandie1 thank you very much @altadc thank you very much
Neat shot and thanks for your explanation of how you go it! Will have to play with this some, makes a neat effect. I'm hoping to go to a huge christmas light display over the next month so this would be fun for that.
