Great street shot and with a message in it. We had a public holiday on May 1 but seems people preferred going to the beach because I saw Mellieha Bay very crowded.
Great journalism in your photos!I looked аt your Flickr's album and was impressed by the peaceful crowded manifestation!Strong social messages! And you did your share as a photographer in very strong way as well! We need to see more real life photos like yours ! Fav!
@jbd1962 yes, there were many photographers from press to amateurs and participants off course ;) @joansmor yes, I readed about "Labour Day" few time ago. Perhaps the first of May was chosen after the events Haymarket affair on Chicago, the 4th of May of 1864. @fntngrma thank you very much. I think that red is a color that fits well with working classes ;) @skstein thank you very much. You can see a lot of sign of every trade union or collective @sangwann haha. It is the advantage to have a beach closer ;) @my_photofun thank you very much for you kind words. I like to take this kind of pictures capturing the moment and with respect to the people and events that go on. ;)
