@jborrases Not allowed to photograph participants? In most public events, participating in such a public event releases the right to be photographed. At least in Canada, anyone in a public location is allowed to be photographed.
@coreylablansphotography Here we have stronger rules about taking pictures in public events, perhaps you allow to photographers of the event the "right" of taking pictures, we have a stronger rule that prevails upon the others : the right to the own image of the person, the right to his privacy and the right to his honor. The first law comes from 30 years ago, and finishes with the apply of the LOPD law. Probably, great street photographers of the past will had no place in the present day in our country. Canadians are more "open minded" that people that rule us ;)
@coreylablansphotography me too, we must be free to take pictures but we must protect also who is being captured. With the amount of cameras,cell phones, and social networks, who knows where our personal image could end ;)
