I took a few interesting shots today, but this is my favorite.
I spent another Friday afternoon in Crystal City photographing the last 5K race of the series. I won first prize in the photo contest! Very exciting!! Originally they said the awards would be announced at the after-race party, so I planned to go hoping to get an award or at least to meet the other photographers. I learned this afternoon that I won and that the awards would not be presented at the party but I still went to the race. I got some good shots of the racers, but this is better.
I took a series as he scootered around the perimeter of the staging area. This was after a sharp fast turn when he was closest to me. I was pretty sure this would be the keeper when I took it but I can never really tell until I see it on my computer monitor.
