Mimosa Leaves by jbritt

Mimosa Leaves

I cheated a bit on this one. On Mon 6/6, I had a health scare and didn't feel up to taking photos. Turns out it was a false alarm, but it was certainly alarming at the time. I biked to an MRI and got a phone call with the results as I got home. Didn't see the report myself until Wed. I will follow up but it is probably nothing to be concerned about.

This is a photo of mimosa leaves in my back yard. I've taken a few over the past few days and like this one the best. I took this on Tues evening (6/7).

I've decided to relax my rules for posting photos a bit since it is getting harder to remain psyched to photograph every day. I will allow myself to post two photos per week that were taken on a different day, up to 7 days earlier or 7 days later. But I will try to use photos from either the day before or the day after. I am also considering the possibility of using a photo that I edit that day even if it was taken a long time ago. I have quite a backlog of photos to sort and edit from before I started this 365 project. I want to be sure to spend some time with photography every day, but some days it could be reading or editing old photos.
I like how you captured this. I don't have the right photography words to explain but I like the distinctive leaves and the fade in the background!

I don't like rules so I say Good for YOU! Relax and enjoy...this your project...doesn't belong to anyone else but thank goodness we can all share with the fabulous people who participate in this project.

Happy to hear that you are well and healthy! Stay that way!

I keep coming back to this picture. The way the bugs have eaten the leaf on the right make it look tantalizingly like words. I just can't make out what it says. "OCEEeL"? It could be fun to play with it and finish the job the bugs started and make a message.

Who cares about formal rules. Art, photography, creativity shouldn't adhere strictly to rules. The 365 police won't know if you post a picture on the wrong day. Just keep creating (and posting). We, your public, would miss your art if you stopped. (N)
