Reflections on Science

I was deciding between a very simple shot of a fence lit by afternoon sun that caused me to stop riding my bike even though I was late. It is a nice shot, but I decided to post this more complex shot. I always have trouble deciding.

I saw this reflection when I was stopped at a traffic light on the same bike ride. For once, it was good that I just missed the light. I quickly opened my pannier and pulled my pocket camera out of my purse. I took two shots and put it back in my purse just before the light turned green.

The photo shows that this is the Virginia Tech Research Center.

This week's assignment for my Zen Through the Lens class is patterns. I'm not sure if the windows in this shot are a strong enough pattern to qualify for that assignment. It's the reflection that drew me in and that has nothing to do with a pattern except that it's overlain on the patterned glass wall.
"I quickly opened my pannier and pulled my pocket camera......" That reminds me of a western quick draw gun play. Made me laugh. Interesting refection. I wonder if less would be more on this picture. How would it look if you cropped it down to just the large reflective window bank? To remove it from context and make it more impressionistic. (N)

@smithfamily Good idea to zoom in on just the reflection. I like that version better but won't change my photo here since I'll lose your comment.
