Up on the roof

My first visit to Oxburgh Hall since one of the dormer windows slid gracefully to the ground at 5:00am one morning last year. You can see where it used to be by the slightly lighter patch of roof tiles. The house was fully open again, but the scaffolding is likely to remain in place for most of the year while the rest of the roof is being worked on.
Oxburgh Hall is the closest National Trust property to me but haven't been there for a couple of years. Didn't know about the roof. Interesting shot.

Hope all the scaffolding survived Doris!

@rvm The scaffolding is completely free standing, and weighted down with 200 tons of concrete blocks! It's also in an inner courtyard, so quite sheltered - although they did close off the woods today.
