Using long exposure to photograph the stars and the cross. I started shooting trying to get images of just the stars, going to the church because it is high up on a hill and has very little light around it. Still, I was not getting images I liked. Blurry, noisy, ugly. So I started wandering for something to include besides just the sky. The cross has some light hitting it from a streetlight on the property, and I was expecting it to become over-exposed. Thankfully it did not.
