A Small(!!!!) Gathering

This has appeared on a tree very close to my house. I don't like it at all but it has to be my shot of the day.

We had a swarm of Italian honey bees in our backyard back in the mid 1970s. Kept the kids inside until they all lifted out at the same time and went to another backyard. Wonderful shot, fav!

Hope its bees and not wasps but the latter generally makes a nest in the ground. Call in the Bee Whisperer!

Super capture - wouldn't want to be too close- I disturbed a ground nest last year - got a stung in the leg and can still see the mark. Definitely a FAV!
