Testing...and MORE testing. :-(

These kids are sure troopers. Day 2 of 3 in front of a computer screen doing progress assessments. (And meanwhile I'm having fun playing with a new app!)
Great shot. Love the new app. :)

Those endless assessments are what I don't miss about teaching. That cool processing turns this dreary chore into a work of art.

Cool processing. I do feel sorry for them having so much standardized testing.

Great app ~ watercolor? Hard to believe this was a photo! Love it! ❤

This is great! What app? If you don't mind me asking, what program do you use for progress monitoring?

Very nice processing!

@novab @mbemis @ukandie1 @sitiodown @lsanderson55 @rangerxenos Thanks everyone for the kind comments, but truthfully, I can't take any credit for the processing on this. I ran into a stunning picture on @studiouno and tracked down the app she mentioned. (Thanks!!) It's called Waterlogue and all you do is take a photo and click a button. Done! I chose to post this because it does such a nice job of altering identities. Eventually, I really want to learn how to do processing by my own choice, but in the meantime, I thought this was REALLY cool!! :-) A bit of fun!

@lsanderson55 Right now we are using MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) from NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association). Previously we used Aimsweb. We feel that MAP is a more comprehensive and informative assessment to guide our instruction. Still....it's more testing. Ugh. Poor kiddos.

Hi Joan, glad you're enjoying something I was able to borrow and then share from http://365project.org/cazann/profile!

Btw, I like watching the app's process and used that to help me work on my own real watercolors, too.
January 16th, 2015
@studiouno YES! It's fascinating to watch! I haven't done watercolors for years and this is inspiring me to maybe start up again!! I'm so glad you shared the name of it. It's a lot of fun, but meanwhile, I really do want to learn how to do some of the cool processing on my own. Thanks again, Alison!

@aglennc It's called Waterlogue. Incredibly EASY. No talent required!!

I found this by the waterlogue app tag. It caught my eye because I am a teacher too! This is my 28th year .... In a suburb of Atlanta, Ga. I teach 4th grade. It would be cool if our kids could be "pen" pals or something. Anyway I love this use of waterlogue and it made a neat photo! Too bad these kids get tested 24-7. Fav
