Air Strip by jetr

Air Strip

Headed to Anchorage on Thursday. Rode in a basket sled behind a snow-go to the airstrip to catch this 7-passenger plan into the Kotzebue hub to catch the 737 jet to Anchorage. Our school district is sending some of us for training. Woo hoo! Restaurants, hotel, theaters, shops, Bright Lights, Big City!! It was -27/-36 degrees!!
OMG! This look scary! Interesting shot though..

I am in awe of people who live in such extreme climates. I spent 2 months in Alaska in the summer of 2002 and the scenery and wildlife are stunning. Enjoy your trip to the big city.

Oh Joan what an experience. I love seeing all you photos of such an amazing place. That little plane looks a bit scary. Hope you have lots of fun. I am shivering with cold if it gets down lower than 20c here !
