Fresh Snow! by jetr

Fresh Snow!

Not the best shot, but through my classroom window, I caught the 1st graders test-driving our new school snow shoes! Friday fun!
Kim
Awesome POV, and the b&w works so well!

What an interesting scene. And the school provides the snowshoes? are they difficult to learn to walk on?

I love this! Close up twigs, out-of-focus kids. So spontaneous.

@kimdavis @aglennc @caroline11820 @espyetta Thanks everyone! It was, indeed, very spontaneous as I scrambled to catch them before they disappeared around the corner. And yes, Anita, the school (thanks to our principal) has acquired several class sets of snowshoes. With the deep snow we've gotten, it's actually much easier to walk on snow shoes than in our boots! (I learned that the hard way!!)

Well done for capturing this! As your project moves on you might worry that your pictures and stories are not as interesting as you might think, but trust me when I say they are wonderful. One of the things I have learned from doing this project is that there is beauty and interest to be found in the most unusual places, and what is normal to me is not to someone else, and that is why I love following your project :)

@ukandie1 Andie, I can't thank you enough for those encouraging words because, yes, I DO worry that my shots are repetitive & mundane. So thank you! With this project and the inspiration I get from you and others, I AM learning to see my world differently as I search for interesting ways to present it.

Really like your comp and dof in this shot, and it's great in b&w. Thanks so much for the follow Joan, I'll be following you back, and I look forward to seeing your work.

I love all the shots you take too. It is one of the enjoyable and interesting things about this project. I love seeing what others are looking at through their camera in other parts of the world. also love to hear about your day to day life. I've always wanted to see Alaska one day
