Big planes are a very rare occurrence around here. We usually only see the tiny 8-seaters. This was probably a fuel plane, since the river has been too low for the fuel barge to get this far up river. The kids were begging me to "Take a picture - quick!!"
It's nice to hear that the kids are excited about you taking photos. You should do a fundraiser on 365 asking for old cameras (point and shoots) for the kids. I sent 2 off earlier in the year to someone on 365 that had organized a photo club (I think in Miss).

We do have cameras and I recruit students to help me with the yearbook. I really should let them use the cameras more often, though. They love that activity!
