Parking Lot

We had an annual Town Hall Meeting at our school today - early out for the kids. This is a very typical scene of gatherings at our school. Snow-go's, "Hondas," and basket sleds. At 4:00 pm it was almost too dark to get a decent shot!
Oh my! I cannot imagine having to drive around without the warmth of a car heater! You are a hardy bunch up there, for sure.

What a super title - love it! This environment that you are able to adjust to so well leaves the rest of us with open mouths! Love this shot.

Ah Joan, you've got us all open-mouthed again today with an image of your 'daily-grind' that is so different from ours.

Unusual modes of transport and great to see in the snowy carpark.

@linjoyce @milaniet @pdulis @dide @cottiac @delwynforsythe @scotthouston @seattlite @vignouse @wendyfrost @pasttheirprime Thank you all for kind comments! It is a different life, indeed. For example, this morning we had to fire up one of these machines to haul teachers to the airstrip with only a 10-minute warning that the plane was landing despite the snowstorm. So it's always a mad rush to load the baggage and the passengers into the sled and race like the wind to the airstrip! We'll be the last teachers to leave next week for a week in the big city.

@jetr I think I'd take that -- I used to do a lot of long haul around Asia; a ten minute scramble in a snowstorm actually sounds kind of fun.
