An old - and probably outdated - globe in our classroom, showing the location of our village. Along with the January word of the day motivator, I'm following Richard @vignouse with his challenge of using the same fixed lens for a month, 50mm in this case. It's only day 4 and I'm already learning a lot! Thanks again, Richard! I can't quite give up color yet, but I'm working on creating better bw compositions.
@jesperani@chris17@seattlite@golftragic@wendyfrost@cathieg@milaniet LOL! I just love my friends on 365! This seems like such a mundane shot to me and yet you all stop and take the time to comment. THANK YOU!! @scotthouston C'mon now...do I really NEED to do that??? Do you see just how close our "dot" is to the North Pole??? Hahahaha!! @francoise Thank you, Francoise! I did not crop this one, and that is indeed something I am working on - getting it right the first time!
A globe is a wonder to have. My elder brother now has the 'family' globe. He is a sailor, after all. Delighted to see your location on said globe; it adds a different dimension to your photos. Thank you.
