August and September's choices: Nutty Over Chocolate, Lemon Lime Twist, Red Velvet Elvis, A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts, The Princess, Peppy Pattie.
I realize this photo of empty cupcake wrappers looks more like the sin of gluttony rather than the virtue of temperance (i.e., moderation and self-restraint), but I can explain. When I lived in Calgary, I was a mere 2 blocks from this wonderful cupcake shop. Too close to temptation. So I made a 'once-a-month' cupcake rule for myself, stuck to it, and now have the same rule in Halifax. I skipped my August cupcake in Halifax so I could have 2 in Calgary. Do 6 mini cupcakes=2 regular size cupcakes? In my mind, yes. I forgot to have a Dark Angel...might have to use up my October quota while in Calgary too.
Thanks to Laura C F for the very mini Calgary 365 meet-up. She was more virtuous than I and didn't eat all her purchases in one sitting.
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
An explanation, yes, but I'm still thinking gluttony is much more appropriate...although you are hardly a poster child for that virtue! Now Laura, that was temperance.....I am not saying where I would fall with 6 mini's in front of me!
You're too funny. I live near Panera and am in love with their stuff. Now I'm only allowed it when we go to the cottage. The problem? We've been going to the cottage every weekend - so not much moderation on my end. *lol*
i'm off sugar again and not allowed cheats. i'm angry, foggy, sad, and annoyed. And I want cupcakes in a desperate way. Damn good thing Crave was closed when I walked by it on my stroll this afternoon......
@lauracaseyfoss ~ Well....if it makes you feel better eventually, it will be worth it. Just withdrawl to get through. Not that I can remember what it feels like though....
