A reader's resting place. by jgoldrup

A reader's resting place.

At JWD Booksellers, one must watch where they step and always check for overhead hazards when entering tight alcoves. Sadly, JWD is starting to pack up their downtown Halifax heritage building location; they are moving to the Darkside come spring. Great news for car culture readers, but not us snobby walking/biking readers. It will be a bigger space for the 175,000 plus books, though, and more organized (so they say!). Once I left, he had 3 fewer books to pack up. You're welcome, John.
Great black and white

Excellent shot in b&w. This gives you a chance to get more exercise, no?! Did they not consult you first? How rude, John.

Old bookshops have a character that you can never recreate twice I think. Not in quite the same way. I'm sad to see it go, but atleast you've recorded its passing. I bet that chair's seen a few bums.
