$22.99 (plus tax). by jgoldrup

$22.99 (plus tax).

That is how much this 2cm long pill cost me. I thought I should get more of my money’s worth out of it by grabbing a photo before sending it down the hatch.
Gasp! That's outrageous!! Hopefully you don't need more than one! Great reflection. Is that your glass of water back there?

I like the reflection

@shutterbugger ~ Yep, just one...and that is water glass behind.

I would take a picture, show it to my neighbors, take it on a trip then frame it. I'm not sure I would eat it. :-) It's outrageous the price of meds.
I do like your shot Janna.

I hope that little pill sends you to a nice, happy, colorful place...
I thought there was free healthcare in Canada (I guess that is pretty naive), but seriously, what is the difference with the healthcare hear and up there?
Very cool shot though!

wow, that is steep
I have a friend who worked as a pharmaceutical rep for Pfizer, but she didn't enjoy working for them and moved onto another company
January 30th, 2012
wow, hope it was good/effective. In the UK all our meds are capped at about £8 ($12.60) which is quite nice.
January 30th, 2012
Great shot hope it works!
January 30th, 2012
Whoa. That is one expensive pill!!! Hope it's nothing serious! Maybe you could dice it up into three square meals?!
@onarom We don't pay for any care while in hospital....drugs are another story. It all depends on whether you have drug coverage through work or personal plans. If you are out of work, the gov't pays for some....it's all over the place and depends on your situation.
@maggie2 you made me laugh with your comment!!!! Thanks, I needed that!

Pretty pricey for one pill
January 30th, 2012
$23 for one pill? I'm so glad to be living in the UK; I'm looking for work and paying absolutely nothing for medications.
January 30th, 2012
@jgoldrup ah, yes, a glass. Sometimes I miss tags when surfing on my phone!
January 30th, 2012
Yikes! Hope it tasted like candy and did the trick. At least you got some conversation out of it!
January 30th, 2012
I hope the inside is made of gold. Or chocolate. Chocolate is almost worth $22.99.

Didn't they have a generic version? That's ridiculous. But I'm used to ridiculous from seeing the outrageous prices for veterinary drugs when i was working in hospital there!
February 1st, 2012
@onarom @slang Nice sum up, Sean. Drug plans pretty all over the place, from province to province and such. Hospital and doctor visits technically not free though....our taxes pay for it...somehow. We would never have to choose btw which finger we got sew back on, though....but then I only saw that in a Michael Moore flick. ;)
February 1st, 2012
@pwallis ~ Just an over-the-counter thing....all choices were pricey. Maybe I should've checked with a vet first! Never know...pets might have the same problems. ;)
February 1st, 2012
cool shot! and how much?!!!
February 1st, 2012
@jgoldrup You're right...nothing is "free" is it?! I do know basic tv is $11 a day, though....and don't get me going about the phone. Argggh
February 2nd, 2012
@slang Basic tv CAN'T be that much...really? I don't have a tv...it would be too dangerous to my productivity (which I already have issues with).
February 3rd, 2012
@jgoldrup In the hospital? Yes it was, trust me. If we wanted the phone for outgoing calls there was an extra charge per day. Incoming calls were "free".
February 3rd, 2012
@slang Oh, you mean in the hospital! Okay, I get it. Yes, I've paid for a phone while in hospital before...it included both incoming and outgoing calls, though. I can't remember if you had to pay for tv too, since I wouldn't have got it....my guess is yes, though.

great close up and for that price I hope it does something magical!
