This is a bit of the village of Aremd (also called Aroumd) in Toubkal National Park, home to the highest peak in North Africa (Jebel Toubkal). Directions to get here: Drive on the paved road to the village of Imlil. If the unpaved road to Aremd is closed due to snow, slides, etc., stop in Imlil. Have tea. Then load your luggage into the baskets of the nearest sturdy mule. Starting walking up - through the village and then along the mule track. Enjoy the scenery (take lots of photos!), but be mindful of loaded mules making their way down. Once you reach Aremd, around an hour later, check into a freezing cold hostel-like guest house (called a gîte). They will feed you good food and will have a cozy fire. On your walk back down the next morning, be mindful of the ice.
*catching up on editing/organizing some old photos*
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
"On your walk back down the next morning, be mindful of the ice." and mules coming up! Those mules get everywhere. It looks very much like a place to visit and an ideal opportunity put things/life/grumpness of mules into perspective while you're there.
