Went into town today for groceries and such and saw some "wildlife" roaming around town. These urban deer are a pain in everyone's butt, eating almost everything in sight...cedars, lilacs, hostas, tiger lilies, tomatoes, etc. Just not marigolds.
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
Do you have a secret to keeping them away? My ma-in-law has had a problem keeping her favourite hosta in one piece. Her all green one gets eaten to the ground but they don't touch the green and white ones
@shutterbugger ~Not sure why they would eat one kind and not the other...the all green one must be delicious! Apparently a spray like Bobbex works, as long as you reapply after a rain. Also, stinky soap like Irish spring set out around the plants needing protection...or fencing. But fencing isn't very attractive, of course.
