Memories of the passed

What happens to our memories, as we age and finally pass away? They become clouded, and increasingly fragmented, until they finally disappear. Even though our memories captured in photographs may live on in our albums, on our hard drives and social media accounts, they too will fade, fragment and pass away. The irony of posting this image here, is that it will be forgotten by tomorrow. These are some of the memories of Mary, who passed away in 2021, aged 102. She is pictured in the image at bottom left.
Well you have pulled out the creative stops here! I am enjoying the merging of the old photos with this textured metallic background. I am not sure if you meant 'passed' or 'past'? If the former I am wondering if they are images of deceased members of your family? I seem to prefer the more abstract images on the right and maybe playing with one image (one of these or a new one) and merging the texture might be really exciting!

@marshwader “Passed” is what I meant, but “past” is also implied. This was done in a hurry (as were all the other images so far) so could be technically improved. I’ll probably revisit the idea when I have time to do it justice. The “metallic background” is actually a textured semi-transparent sheet of paper, separating the pages of a photo album.
