A sad reflection of our times

This used to be a thriving electrical store where you could buy anything from a washing machine to a light bulb - or a bag of kindling. Sadly, like many other small businesses around the country, it's had to close. The owner seems to be dividing the building into 3 smaller shops so hopefully someone will come along and start something new - but it's hard to sustain a business in such a small rural community. Any suggestions?

Yes it is changing times for us all, food is always tops , so another cafe perhaps ? or sweet store, or a service centre,

That is sad. I sure hope that tenants can be found to bring new life to the community!

Cafes are always popular as John said, plus sweet shops do well, and may I suggest a used book shop.

I also agree this recession has alot to answer no doubt at one time this was a family run buisness.
