it's a big world out there

These 3 blackbirds fledged 2 weeks ago. I watched their progress from 3 tiny blue eggs to 3 scrawny chicks to these beauties.
Their parents built their nest in my shed between a brush and a snow shovel.
I wonder how they'll survive in the great outdoors.

So exciting to watch birds at this time of year. We have some bluetits in our bird box and two adults spent the whole afternoon going back and fore with goodies in their beaks for the young ones and there's a chorus of cheeping every time!!
