Twenty Eight Parrot by jodies

Twenty Eight Parrot

These parrots have a few names but we know it as the 28 parrot as their call sounds like they are saying "twenty eight". The local Noongar people know it as Darlmoorluk and it was always welcomed as a bringer of happiness and would keep the camp safe from evil spirits that roamed the bush.
At our place they just like our oranges.
they are such a pretty bird

Very nice. I'm not sure if it's the Australian Ringneck or it's sub-species 28 Parrot at Serpentine Falls, but if you take parrot seed, they'll come and eat right out of your hand. I'm making another trip this weekend weather permitting, to try and set some shots up so watch that space :) They're lovely, and what a great shot!
