Little Missenden church, over 1000 years old, inside you can still see where the Knights carved crosses into the wall before going on a Crusade. June 22 2015, the church is packed to overflowing - a Government select committee has come to see where the high speed rail will go, just over the road from this village. What changes and fights for beliefs this little church must have seen.
Yet another instance of Government trampling over the lives and land of the folk it supposedly represents. I wish you well, from the other end of the island.
@bulldog@mothermalarky , thanks for your comments and support. This line is planned to unite the north/south yet if it goes ahead will stop in Leeds, still 1/4 of England further north, not to mention Scotland...strange plan for a Government that wants to keep us all untied!
I can't believe that anyone would consider doing this! Its a definite no no in history and geography etc but I daresay transport advance takes preference over this - people with no thought for the future, though!
Well featured , afraid as with so many things like this May be done and dusted but they pay lip service but I am a sceptic on this .We have an incinerator project still hanging over us in Hatfield Herts
